Happy New Year!

Another year is approaching very soon. Cant believe how quickly 2008 came and before i know, its coming to an end already. 2008 has been good for me. A couple of events took place such as the engagement, the purchase of our new house J-17-7, our Krabi trip & Kylie's concert at BKK. These are some of the main ones that i can recall. My memory is getting really bad. I foresee alot of changes in the coming year and am so excited about it.

Come lets all look forward to a better year. Cheers!

Bangkok

We saw loads of colourful interesting stuffs at the chatuchak weekend market, a must visit when u are in bkk. It has thousands of stalls that sells anything you can think of..really.

Pretty little roses Classy lights

An aquarium

I love the colors! Ice Cream cubes! yummy

We went for ice cream at Swensens! One of my favourite..I had Sticky Chewy Chocolate Ice Cream..

So worth it but not something that i can have everyday :) fattening!

Ok, here's the reason why we were in Bangkok in the first place. We went there to catch Kylie Minogue live in concert!! Thanks to JT, he made my dreams came true :) Ive been a fan of Kylie for the longest time. Too bad Msia isnt part of her KylieX tour.
Posters of her everywhere at IMPACT ARENA, MUANG THONG THANI

Us before the concert

The whole event was sponsored by Singha Beer..

And they were serving free flow of Singha to VIPs (those with very expensive tickets). How nice

Enjoying my Iced Chocolate at Doitung Cafe. Excellent

Then i realised i should be supporting Singha instead, hehe. I had a whole giant pint for only 100Baht.

The concert started at about 8pm and it was packed!

Kylie Kylie!!
Can you see her ? I just cant get her outta my head! hehe

The concert lasted for about 2 1/2 hours. It was a great experience!

Next morning, we saw this on the newspapers. Scary isnt it ? A Mass Protest...When will Bkk ever be peaceful.

But that didnt stop us from going out to shop :)
MBK shopping centre

Hey check this out. Instant noodles advertisement. The Thais can be very creative! Spotted it while shopping around Siam Square.

JT feeling very tired after a whole afternoon of shopping

Love this Xmas Tree. Guess what is it made of ?

Merry Christmas in advance! :)

Bangkok

My recent trip to Bangkok was quite dramatic. For the first time ever, i missed my flight home! All because of the terrible jam there. We had to spent an additional RM1k just to put up for another night. And the next day, the protesters decided to screw things up by closing the Suvarnabhumi airport but we managed to return home few hours before the airport was closed down. Many say we were very lucky but deep down i secretly wished i was still in Bangkok! :)

This time around we stayed in Citin Pratunam, a newly opened hotel located in Pratunam. I wouldnt recommend to stay here because the accessibility isnt quite good. Not many taxi drivers have heard of this hotel too. Anyway, after checking in to our hotel, we immediately got dressed to go clubbing! We headed to Santika at Ekkamai Soi 63. Ekkamai is well known for its posh clubs where rich and young Thai ppl hang out. There was a live band playing both Thai and English songs. The whole atmosphere is so different.

Omg, i didnt know its so troublesome to upload photos here. Its getting late, i need to sleep now. Will continue tomorrow with day 2 at bkk.
