At Pingnakorn Boutique Hotel, Chiang Mai

Finally updating on my recent Chiang Mai/Rai trip. It was one month ago..on my birthday :)

We stayed at "At Pingnakorn" a Boutique hotel @ Nimmanhaeminda Road. We were so lucky they upgraded our standard room to a Deluxe cuz it was my special day. I requested for it without shame, hehe. The Deluxe room was more spacious and nicer :) So remember to take advantage of such occasion and be daring enough to ask okays? You'll never know. hehe

Love the Interior of the room. Modern and White themed! ........We Loveeeee White!!

There was also a little kitchen in our room. JT made use of the kitchen by cooking instant noodles :)

Garden at the roof top of the hotel

Seating area at the lobby

And this is where we relax and have our breakfast and tea break.

I would definitely recommend this hotel because 1)Stylish Interior & Exterior 2) Rates are very reasonable
3) Location 4) Friendly & helpful staff

If you are planning to visit Chiang Mai, do consider to stay here http://www.atpingnakorn.com/

Stay tuned for more updates on my trip..

Our 1st Wedding Anniversary

We celebrated our 1st Wedding Anniversary at La Bodega in Bangsar on the 31st May 2010. JT took leave just to be with me. How sweet is that. The past one year as husband and wife has been great i'd say. JT helps out with the house chores and most importantly irons his own clothes! :) I can't ask for more!

Food & our bottle of Wine was excellent! We had tapas, soup, pasta and lamb. The only dissappointment was the Mushroom soup. Even Campbell's can soup tastes better, Really!

JT and I seated at one corner of the restaurant...all cozy and romantic..hehe
My love handed me a beautiful bouquet of red roses he hid at the back seat of his car...what a surprise! Aww..
Gosh, am missing the lamb and tapas at La Bodega already!

Benefit

Went to Benefit's warehouse sale few days back and bought 3 items i really like and need! :)

Brow Zings. The complete kit includes pigmented wax for shaping, natural shaded powder for setting, tweezers, hard angle brush and blending brush. RM70 (RM139 at counters) What a bargain!

Benefit's Lemon Aid is a correcting cream which helps to hide redness & discoloration of the eyelids. Can be used as eyeshadow base. RM50

Lastly, an eyeshadow brush i needed so badly. RM35

All of the above for RM155. It will cost me more than double if i bought it at the counter.

What a Tragedy

I was so shocked yesterday when i heard the news about the fire during NYE at Santika Bangkok. 61 people were killed at the club. Apparently the fire was caused by the fireworks on stage. They shouldnt have fireworks indoor! The countdown party was named GoodBye Santika as it was going to move to another premise.

Not only Goodbye to Santika but to the 61 people who are dead. Its really sad.

All gone forever

We were there only last Nov. Lucky we made it otherwise we wouldnt have another chance.

Happy New Year!

Another year is approaching very soon. Cant believe how quickly 2008 came and before i know, its coming to an end already. 2008 has been good for me. A couple of events took place such as the engagement, the purchase of our new house J-17-7, our Krabi trip & Kylie's concert at BKK. These are some of the main ones that i can recall. My memory is getting really bad. I foresee alot of changes in the coming year and am so excited about it.

Come lets all look forward to a better year. Cheers!

Bangkok

We saw loads of colourful interesting stuffs at the chatuchak weekend market, a must visit when u are in bkk. It has thousands of stalls that sells anything you can think of..really.

Pretty little roses Classy lights

An aquarium

I love the colors! Ice Cream cubes! yummy

We went for ice cream at Swensens! One of my favourite..I had Sticky Chewy Chocolate Ice Cream..

So worth it but not something that i can have everyday :) fattening!

Ok, here's the reason why we were in Bangkok in the first place. We went there to catch Kylie Minogue live in concert!! Thanks to JT, he made my dreams came true :) Ive been a fan of Kylie for the longest time. Too bad Msia isnt part of her KylieX tour.
Posters of her everywhere at IMPACT ARENA, MUANG THONG THANI

Us before the concert

The whole event was sponsored by Singha Beer..

And they were serving free flow of Singha to VIPs (those with very expensive tickets). How nice

Enjoying my Iced Chocolate at Doitung Cafe. Excellent

Then i realised i should be supporting Singha instead, hehe. I had a whole giant pint for only 100Baht.

The concert started at about 8pm and it was packed!

Kylie Kylie!!
Can you see her ? I just cant get her outta my head! hehe

The concert lasted for about 2 1/2 hours. It was a great experience!

Next morning, we saw this on the newspapers. Scary isnt it ? A Mass Protest...When will Bkk ever be peaceful.

But that didnt stop us from going out to shop :)
MBK shopping centre

Hey check this out. Instant noodles advertisement. The Thais can be very creative! Spotted it while shopping around Siam Square.

JT feeling very tired after a whole afternoon of shopping

Love this Xmas Tree. Guess what is it made of ?

Merry Christmas in advance! :)
